Vodafone confirmed today that it will start selling the iPhone 4 on pre-pay through its website, UK stores, and over the phone.
If you pre-pay, you'll get a year's worth of data, and access to BT Openzone wi-fi. The prices are £480 for the 16GB model, and a whopping £570 for the 32GB model.
For the purposes of comparison, the least you can expect to pay for an iPhone 4 from Vodafone on a monthly tariff is £759, for which you get 75 minutes and a GB data for 18 months. Under this deal the initial outlay for a 16GB iPhone 4 is £219.
If fast money is no object, and you hate paying a contract every month, then this may be the way to go, particularly since it comes with a year's worth of free data.
