While the Motorola DROID 2 still has not been officially announced, this represents the first time Verizon Wireless, the phone's eventual carrier, has referred to the phone publicly.
The DROID 2 will replace the Motorola DROID in Verizon Wireless' lineup and is expected to feature a 1GHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera and an improved QWERTY keypad.
An official release date and pricing for the Motorola DROID 2 are still unknown.
