U.S. CELLULAR TEAMS UP WITH THE IOWA SPEEDWAY TO HELP TEACHERS ERASE CLASSROOM NEED

Portion of NASCAR Foundation Rusty's Roast Proceeds Will Go to DonorsChoose.org to Benefit Iowa Teachers.

Newton, Iowa—U.S. Cellular and the Iowa Speedway have partnered to help Iowa teachers erase some classroom needs. A portion of the proceeds raised from the Rusty Roast of Richard Childress and the NASCAR Foundation Track Walk were awarded to DonorsChoose.org to fund Iowa classroom projects. As part of the U.S. Cellular 250 on Saturday, July 31, the NASCAR Foundation presented the check for $18,350 during the pre-race festivities.

"At U.S. Cellular we are committed to education and helping schools get the support they deserve," said Kathy Hust, vice president of U.S. Cellular's Midwest and Central regions. "We are thrilled that the NASCAR Foundation has donated a portion of the proceeds to a cause that is dear to our hearts."

Over the last two years, the Rusty Roast has raised $477,970 for the NASCAR Foundation, of which Rusty Wallace serves on the Board of Directors.

DonorsChoose.org is a philanthropic Web site that makes it easy for individuals and businesses to help public school classrooms in need by funding all or part of a classroom project posted by teachers. Iowa Speedway officials will select the projects that will receive funding. The rest of the proceeds from the roast go to the NASCAR Foundation, which seeks to raise funds and increase volunteerism to support non-profit charities and charitable causes throughout the nation that help children live happier, healthier lives.

Prior to the race on Saturday, Iowa teachers registered on DonorsChoose.org were recognized in a special presentation with U.S. Cellular, the NASCAR Foundation and the Iowa Speedway. U.S. Cellular donated tickets to these teachers for them and a guest to attend the race.

"We hope that they and everyone who came to the race today had a great time with their friends and family," said Stan Clement, Iowa Speedway CEO.
