T-Mobile Returns to BlogHer Conference for Third Year, Connecting With Thousands of Women Bloggers

As Part of BlogHer Sponsorship, T-Mobile Revitalizes Madison Square Boys & Girls Club,Giving Back to Local Families.

T-Mobile USA, Inc. will once again be part of the world’s largest conference for women in social media during BlogHer ’10, taking place Aug. 6–7 in New York. During the conference, a community of female bloggers will get a hands-on look at T-Mobile’s latest products and services designed to help families stay in touch easily and affordably.

At the conference, T-Mobile will demo devices fit for the whole family, from the latest smartphones, such as the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide™ and the Samsung Vibrant™, to the latest messaging phones, such as the Samsung Gravity® 3 and LG dLite. In addition, the company will have information about the rollout of its HSPA+ network, the most pervasive network to offer 4G speeds1 in the country, and its Family Allowances service, which lets parents control line usage, such as voice, texts or downloads.

“T-Mobile has the devices and services that families can rely on to stay in touch with each other,” said Reid Walker, vice president of corporate communications at T-Mobile USA. “We look forward to being a part of the BlogHer family once again, while also taking the time to connect with local New York families through our Huddle Up program.”

T-Mobile’s Huddle Up program, which connects children to positive people, places and programs, with an emphasis on afterschool programming, will host a community project on Aug. 5. At the event, 150 local T-Mobile employee volunteers and several BlogHer attendees will join forces to give the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club an extreme makeover, breathing new life into the vital community resource. The facility’s Columbus Clubhouse, which was opened in 1965 and continues to serve much of the youth in the North Bronx, will transform with new paint, games, murals, benches and a special teen lounge called the T-Mobile Huddle Up Zone.

“This is T-Mobile’s third straight year sponsoring the annual BlogHer Conference, and we are grateful for their continued support of the conference and the community,” said Elisa Camahort Page, co-founder and COO at BlogHer Inc. “BlogHer attendees are super-communicators, and each year they are thrilled to check out the latest gadgets and technology that help them stay connected to their families and their online communities.”

The sixth annual BlogHer Conference is organized by BlogHer Inc., the leading participatory news, entertainment and information network for women online. This year’s sold-out conference is expected to draw nearly 2,400 bloggers from around the country.

T-Mobile will be in booth #1213, located in Americas Hall 1 on the third floor of the Hilton New York. Additional details on T-Mobile’s Huddle Up program can be found at http://www.T-Mobile.com/HuddleUp.
