Scanbuy Appoints Mike Wehrs as Interim Chief Executive Officer

Mobile Guru Takes Helm of Leading Mobile Barcode Solutions Company.

(www.scanbuy.com), the global leader in mobile barcode solutions, announced that the Board of Directors has appointed Mike Wehrs on an interim basis to assume the responsibilities of Chief Executive Officer and President and to join the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Wehrs succeeds Jonathan Bulkeley, who after serving since 2006 resigned to pursue other interests. "The Board is grateful for Jonathan's vision and leadership of Scanbuy over the last four years. Most recently, Mr. Wehrs served as President and CEO of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). In that role, Mr. Wehrs oversaw the association's day-to-day operations, global expansion and market development promoting the use of mobile marketing worldwide. Prior to the MMA, Mr. Wehrs served as Chief Evangelist and Vice President of Industry Affairs at Nuance Communications, Inc. Prior to Nuance Communications, Mr. Wehrs served as Vice President, Product Management and Global Marketing for Tegic Communications, an AOL company. As the product management visionary for Tegic's wireless platform and embedded products, and global marketing group leader, he also served as an industry standards and public policy representative within a number of industry bodies. Prior to Tegic Communications, Mr. Wehrs worked for Microsoft Corporation, where he was responsible for driving industry adoption and business development opportunities in support of many of Microsoft's products. During his tenure at Microsoft, Mr. Wehrs held various senior roles, working on technology and standards, as well as directing market research and product planning for Microsoft's Windows and Mobile and Embedded Devices divisions. Previously, Mr. Wehrs was Director of New Technology at Samsung Electronics America and Executive Vice President for Orcatron Communications, Ltd. He has also held director positions at Sony Electronics, Inc. and Conner Peripherals, Inc.
