Viewsonic, better known for its monitors and projectors, will launch a 7in tablet running Android 2.2 (Froyo) this autumn.
That’s the juice we’ve scooped from one of our rumour monkeys. Monkey also claims that the device will have a raft of connectivity options, including voice calls via GSM, and either a 3MP or 5MP camera on the back.
When Dell’s Streak hears about that, there’s going to be a punch-up in the tablet playground. Wonder if there are any more secret tablets hiding round the corner to come out on Viewsonic’s side?
It’s expected to land in the UK within eight weeks for between £300-400 then roll out across Europe, if Monkey has his facts right. And after the way we punished him last time, we’d say he has.
