So now the race is on for the branded networks to ship the HTC Desire Android 2.2 update to its customers – and Orange has just spoken up on the issue.
Declining to give us an actual date, which is entirely understandable given the online PAIN caused by slipping timelines, an Orange PR spokesman today said it “normally” takes “around four weeks” from HTC finalising the OS update to Orange getting its tweaked version ready to go.
So, four weeks it is, then, Orange Desire users. That’s not bad, and at least it’s substantially quicker than the HTC Hero update, right?
