Intergraph® Honors 2010 Golden Valve Award Winners at Annual Users' Conference

Global competition showcases innovative uses for SmartPlant® and SmartMarine® Enterprise engineering design software.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., -- China Petroleum Construction & Engineering Corp. East-China Design Branch (CNPCCEI) has been awarded "Best of Show" in the annual Intergraph® Golden Valve Awards competition for the company's detailed view of the CNPC Guanqxi Branch refinery, the top refinery base in China.

The Golden Valve Awards competition is sponsored by Intergraph and is open to all SmartPlant® and SmartMarine® Enterprise engineering design software users. The winners were announced at the Intergraph Greater China Users' Conference in Shanghai, China. CNPCCEI's submission won over the more than 150 entries in this year's competition, an increase of more than 90 percent over last year's entries. "SmartPlant Enterprise engineering and design solutions enable us to create stunning and realistic 3D images which in turn allow us to quickly and efficiently provide our clients with the highest quality designs possible," said Yudong Liu, manager of Engineering, CNPCCEI. "We are honored to win Best of Show in what is our first time competing in the Golden Valve Awards competition."

Gerhard Sallinger, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine president, said, "Each year, we see more interest and entries for the Golden Valve competition. This trend mirrors the increasing growing industry adoption of our next-generation engineering and design solutions as customers realize higher productivity and faster project completion."

SmartPlant Enterprise and its marine and offshore counterpart SmartMarine Enterprise, are integrated solutions suites that provide full design, construction, materials and engineering data management capabilities needed for the creation, safe operation and maintenance, and capital Project Life Cycle Management (cPLM) of large-scale process, power, marine and offshore projects. The software's life cycle data management also enables a smoother handover for EPCs to owner operators and for owner operators to more easily maintain, refurbish or modify their plants.

The ARC Advisory Group, a leading industry analyst firm, ranked Intergraph the No. 1 overall engineering design 3D software and process engineering tools (PET) provider worldwide according to its PET Worldwide Outlook Market Analysis and Forecast through 2013.
