Brian Danfield Named President Of Verizon Wireless’ Southwest Region

CHANDLER, AZ — Verizon Wireless has named Brian Danfield president of Verizon Wireless’ Southwest Region.

As regional president, Danfield is responsible for the company’s sales, operations, financial performance and the customer experience in Arizona, New Mexico, Las Vegas, Nevada, El Paso, Texas and the southern Utah markets of St. George and Cedar City. He is based at the company’s Southwest Region Headquarters in Chandler, Ariz. and succeeds Tony Heyman who has been named vice president, New Market Development for Verizon Wireless in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Most recently, Danfield served as director-Retail Sales for the Southwest Region where he earned membership into the President’s Cabinet, reserved for those ranking in the top one percent nationally in sales during 2009.

He began his career with Verizon Wireless in July 1997 as a senior financial analyst in Tempe, Ariz. Throughout his tenure with the company, Danfield has held a variety of leadership roles, including director of the company’s Chandler call center as well as in customer service operations and finance.

Prior to joining Verizon Wireless, he held positions in credit policy and operations, call center management, and financial analysis for the Zale Corporation in Irving, Texas and Tempe.

Danfield earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
